New 1-year programme
The aim of the one year intensive program is to offer traditional drawing and painting for those who are comitted to learn the traditional technices and to those who cannot attend a full time school. The students and the instructor meets for 6 times during one academic year each time for four intensive days from 09:00-18:00 where the student receive intensive guidance full days.
Each block are well prepared with a specific aim. After every session the student will get homework related to the subjects and exercises done during the session, to strenghten and deepen the knowledge. The student have the possibility to stay in touch with the instructor between the sessions via telephone or e-mail.
The groups are kept small to ensure that all individual gets the attention needed and to maintain highest quality of instruction. Min 5 and max 8 students.
This programme is a combination of what I have learned form the Florence academy of art and The Russian academy of art in St Petersburg. In order to understand an object the sculptural approach (constructive build-up) in drawing and painting is neccesary rather than only copying the effect of ligth and shadows. Light and form are two different things where light only makes the form visible to our eyes.
From the very beginning you will be introduced to color and painting. In drawing you will learn line qualities and structual form in space. In painting you will be introduced to tone, color, shape and mass studies.
The course structure is from simple to complex, an easy follow step by step method based on your individual level and your needs.
